Somatic Stress Release

As a Somatic Stress Release practitioner, Brittanya guides and supports your journey towards processing the stress that you have been storing in your body. Using movement, visualization, safety, and support, she helps you find the specific ways that your body needs to release stress, while always working with your nervous system and the pace and depth it is ready for. This means that every session is different for every person, depending on how you and your nervous system are feeling that day. Brittanya will always meet you where you are.

When we are stressed, our natural process is to feel the stress in our bodies, move it through action, process it, and then restore our systems back to baseline. This naturally can happen in moments for things that are minor, or take longer if our nervous system sees the stress as something major. Many of us have had our ability to move through this process suppressed. For many of us, it has not been appropriate to express ourselves in ways that allow us to release, like crying, yelling, curling up in a ball on the floor, or dancing with joy. Somatic Stress Release helps you remember this expression in a safe and supported way, so that the stress you have been holding in your body can move on.
